UNICEF, 1 September 2014 – 30 September 2015
Improving school-based capacity of school students/peers for prevention, awareness raising and counselling (when applicable) for adolescents and youth, in order to effectively address and deal with the issue of substance/drug use.
Influencing capacity building and enhancing knowledge of school-based teachers and psychologists for prevention, awareness raising and counselling (when applicable) for adolescents and youth, in order to effectively address and deal with the issue of substance/drug use.
Advocating with a broader spectrum of civil society organisations for an increased awareness and joint mobilisation related to the public health issue, such as substance/drug use amongst adolescents and youth, in order to initiate and participate more actively in drug prevention programs, communication and awareness raising campaigns in targeted municipalities, promoting healthy lifestyle and preventing risky behaviours.
Linkage of established Adolescent Peer Clubs on Dreg Prevention (APCDP) with the UNICEF’s (Education unit) initiated programme against the Violence at Schools, precisely the “Mediation Groups for Violence in Schools”, with an objective to create links and bridges between those two mechanisms at the school level, for the benefit of the most vulnerable and imperilled adolescents and youth.
